Young Advisors are young people aged between 15 and 21, who show community leaders and decision makers how to engage young people in community life, regeneration and renewal.

Heywood Young Advisors have been up and running since Decemeber 07. During this period of time they have been very busy engaging young people into the community life and doing various projects. During the last few months of 2007 Heywood Young Advisors had to go on training courses to qualify for their role. These training courses consisted of communication skills, youth proofing documents, roll play etc. When each of the Young Advisors were qualified they then got straight to it and began to work work work!
