Heywood’s Young Spirit is a major change programme funded by the NDC, New Heart for Heywood to specifically meet the following aims:

(a) Increase young people’s participation in a wide variety of activities in order to increase their integration with their community and impact positively on their self confidence and broader aspirations.
(b) To gain a better understanding of the issues that are important to young people, to help them inform the future youth strategy and provision for Heywood.

There are six broad objectives to the project all of which carry detailed objectives and specific outputs which the project is working towards.
